The Two Gabagools officially came together for the first time as a duo in spring of 2017 after both starting their positions with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra earlier that fall. Solely comprised of trumpet and bass trombone, the duo is best known for its eclectic programming, exciting performances, diverse repertoire, and commitment to educating audiences of all ages about live music and the brass idiom. The Two Gabagools have performed recitals in the greater Indianapolis area and appeared on the Mainly Mozart Festival "Amadeus Club" Series.

Conrad Jones
Trumpet
Conrad Jones was appointed Principal Trumpet of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in 2016. Prior to this position, he served as Principal Trumpet of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. During the summer season, he is Principal Trumpet of the Britt Festival Orchestra in Jacksonville, OR, under Music Director Teddy Abrams and also performs at the Mainly Mozart, Strings, and Grand Tetons Music Festivals. A native of Long Island, NY, Jones received his B.M. in Trumpet Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music before continuing onto the Professional Studies program at the Colburn School Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. Jones has been a featured soloist with the Indianapolis Symphony, Tucson Symphony, Strings Music Festival Brass Ensemble, Downey Symphony Orchestra, the Colburn Orchestra, the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, and the Tucson Pops! Orchestra. He made his solo debut with the TSO during the 2014/15 season, performing George Tsontakis’ True Colors: Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra. Upcoming solo engagements included a Haydn Trumpet Concerto with both the Indianapolis Symphony and Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra.
An avid chamber musician, Conrad has appeared with various new music and chamber ensembles, including LA based WildUp!, Tucson based True Concord, Cleveland based FiveOne, and Cantori Domino. Jones is a founding member of the Kyōdai Brass Quintet, a group started in Cleveland with his two younger brothers in 2009. Kyōdai’s most recent activity includes residencies with the Detroit Chamber Music Society and the Cleveland Chamber Music Society.
Outside of Indianapolis, Jones has performed as Guest Principal Trumpet with the Chicago Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Arizona MusicFest, Detroit Symphony, Hawaii Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Malaysian Philharmonic, and CityMusic Cleveland. He was Acting Second Trumpet with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra during the 2015/16 season. His former teachers include Kevin Cobb, Michael Miller, Michael Sachs, and Jim Wilt.

Riley Giampaolo
Bass Trombone
Riley Giampaolo joined the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in the Fall of 2016. Prior to joining the ISO, Giampaolo studied at the New England Conservatory with James Markey. While in school, Giampaolo spent two summers with the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Rendsburg, Germany.
Riley has performed and recorded with both the Boston and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras. Additionally, in 2013 he was named the winner of the International Trombone Association’s George Roberts Bass Trombone Solo Competition.
